⚾ The Perfect Roster ⚾

The Starting Lineup: 9 Players Total

  • Exclusivity: I cap registration at 7 Campers per week.
  • The Squad: With my two boys (Thad & Ollie) in the mix, we run a tight crew of 9 players total.
  • Why this matters: Unlike massive camps where kids get lost in the shuffle, our small roster guarantees your player gets personal coaching, mentorship, and maximum playing time!

Perfect for Siblings & Teammates

  • Keep the Team Together: With our slightly larger roster this year, it is easier than ever to accommodate sibling groups, cousins, or best friends who want to spend the summer together.
  • (Don't forget: Signing up siblings or friends gets you the Double Play Discount!)

Age Range: Rookies to Veterans (4 – 12 Years Old)

  • Core Ages: We typically range from 4 to 12 years old.
  • Flexibility: Have a younger sibling or an older "Counselor in Training"? Let me know! I am flexible depending on your specific needs.

The "Full Day" Advantage

  • Standard Camps: Usually run 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
  • The Sandlot Way: We go 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM!
  • Extra Innings (Extended Care):
    • Need to drop off before 8:00 AM?
    • Need to pick up after 4:00 PM?
    • No Problem! I understand working parents have different schedules. Just let me know what you need, and I am confident we can make it work (usually at no extra cost!).

⚾️ The Daily Game Plan ⚾️

⚾ Real Sandlot Vibes ⚾

We're keeping it classic. This camp is inspired by the golden days of neighborhood ball—where kids got to play hard, laugh loud, and make memories that last. Think less screens and more sun, sweat, and sandlot stories.

No two days are exactly alike, but here is how we structure the fun:

1. Speed & Agility Academy (Daily Warm-Ups) 🏃🏼

  • We start every morning like the pros!
  • The Focus: Kid-friendly plyometrics, footwork, and coordination drills designed to build speed, agility, and overall athleticism.

2. The Diamond: Skills & Drills ⚾️

  • Since our roster is small, we can get specific!
  • Custom Coaching: Does your player want to work on pitching mechanics? Catcher pop-times? Hitting dingers? We tailor the practice time to work on exactly what they want to improve.

3. The Great Outdoors ⛳️ 🏊🏼

  • We believe summer is for fresh air! As long as the weather plays ball, we are outside... A LOT.
  • Activities: From swimming and park games to pickleball and exploring, we keep them moving.

4. Clubhouse Time (Indoor Activities) 🎳 🍿

  • When the California sun gets too hot (or we just need a breather), we head inside for some AC and structured fun.
  • The Vibe: Bowling, movies, library visits, SkyZone, and more to beat the heat.

5. Special Adventures 🗺️

  • (See the "Adventures & Activities" section below for the full list of our legendary field trips!)

🚊 Special Activities & Adventures 🍿

I believe summer is about variety! So when we aren't on the diamond, we are out exploring, playing, and making memories.

Here is a sneak peek at our rotation:

  • Strike! Bowling 🎳
    • One of our favorite ways to beat the midday heat! We typically hit the lanes on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays for some friendly competition.
    • The Best Part: I get the group enrolled in a special Summer Bowling Program, which means the actual games are on the house!
    • The Cost: You only pay for the shoe rental.
    • Pro-Tip: If your camper has their own bowling shoes, make sure they bring them—that makes this adventure 100% FREE!
  • SkyZone Trampoline Park 🦘
    • We love to get vertical! Pro-Tip: Monthly passes are usually around $40, and they often offer special "Summer Passes" that are a great value for frequent flyers.
  • The Sandlot Swim Club 🏊‍♂️
    • When the California sun kicks into high gear, we head to the awesome private pool at my complex! It is the ultimate way to cool off, race for the gold in swimming contests, or just relax in the water after a morning of drills.
    • The Vibe: Think less "crowded public pool" and more "VIP recovery session" for the team.
    • Logistics: No need to pack a wet bag every day! I’ll send a signal (text/email) the night before so you know exactly when to pack the trunks and towels.
  • Movie Theater Magic 🍿
    • Nothing beats a movie with a big group of friends! We take full advantage of the amazing summer movie deals for kids at AMC, Regal, and Studio Movie Grill.
  • Thousand Oaks Library & Summer Reading 📚
    • We keep the brains sharp, too! All campers will sign up for the TO Library's Summer Reading Program (where they can win actual prizes for reading).
    • On a typical day, we head to the library around 3:00 PM to cool down, catch local events, and log our reading minutes before pickup.
  • The Legendary Santa Barbara Train Ride 🔍
    • An all-time camper favorite! We take the train up the coast for an epic Scavenger Hunt in Santa Barbara. I try to schedule this for a week with high attendance to make the adventure even more memorable!
  • Multi-Sport Action 🏈 🏀 ⛳️
    • Athletes need to be well-rounded! We mix it up with Pickleball, Golf, Disc Golf, Basketball (Open Gym), and Flag Football.
  • Arcade & Adventure 🏎️ 🔫
    • From K1 Speed Indoor Kart Racing and Laser Tag to Mini-Golf and local park takeovers, we keep the adrenaline pumping.

💰 A Note on Adventure Costs:

Most of our daily fun (parks, sports, library) is free!

However, for premium adventures with an entry fee (like Bowling, Movies, SkyZone, or the Train), I operate on a flexible, transparent model:

  1. No Surprises: I will always confirm prices and plans with you beforehand.
  2. Consensus: We only go if everyone is on the same page and happy with the destination!
  3. Easy Billing: approved costs are simply added to your Post-Game Tab at the end of the week.

🚘 Drop-Off & Pick-Up 🚘

🌅 First Pitch (Drop-Off): 8:00 AM

  • Location: We meet every morning at a local field—most likely The YMCA, Field 3—to kick off the day!
  • The Plan: We start with morning warm-ups, baseball drills, and field games to get the energy flowing.
  • The "Team Bus": Once we are warmed up and have finished our baseball drills and games for the day, we hop in the van and head out to our scheduled adventure for the day!

📚 The 9th Inning (Pick-Up): 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

  • Location: We wrap up our day at the Thousand Oaks Library to cool down, read, and relax.
  • Flexible Window: You can swing by to pick up your camper anytime between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
  • Extended Hours: Need to drop off earlier than 8:00 or pick up later than 4:00? No sweat! Just let me know your schedule, and I am happy to accommodate extra innings (usually at no extra cost!)

🍔 Fueling the Team: Lunch & Snack Options 🧃

Campers burn a lot of energy, so keeping them fueled is priority #1!

You have two simple ways to handle food:

  • Option A: The "Brown Bag" Special (BYO)
    • Pack your camper’s favorite lunch, snacks, and drinks in a cooler or bag each day. Simple, classic, and no extra charge!

  • Option B: The "Heavy Hitter" All-Inclusive Pass 🌭
    • Skip the morning meal-prep stress! I will handle purchasing all lunch, snacks, and beverages for your camper throughout the day.
    • How it works: We eat where the adventure takes us! Whether it’s a Costco dog or slice of pizza, a healthy sub, or Chick-fil-A, I’ve got it covered.
    • Billing: To keep things easy, I simply add the actual cost of the meals to your Post-Game Tab for reimbursement. No daily cash needed!

💵 2026 Tuition & Rates 💵

Simple, transparent pricing for a legendary summer.

      • The Play: You get a $25 credit on your invoice, and your friend gets $25 off their tuition.
      • (Total Team Savings = $50!)

📝 How Payments Work 📝

I'll keep the logistics simple so we can focus on the fun.

1. Base Tuition

  • Covers: Care, transportation, and standard daily activities (parks, library, sports, free adventures).

2. "The Post-Game Tab" (Extras & Reimbursements)

  • What is it? This is your invoice for any optional costs incurred during the week, such as:
    • The Heavy Hitter Meal Plan (if you chose to have me buy lunch/snacks).
    • Ticketed Adventures (Movies, SkyZone, Zoo, etc. – only if pre-approved by you!).
  • Due: By the following Monday (after the camp week ends).

I Can't Wait To See You On The Field! 🏟️
